Create custom RSS Feed based off your algorithm

Hey, love the app. But I would love to use it in other operating systems. It would be awesome if you guys could use your already present RSS feed and filtering algorithm to create custom feeds (maybe through Yahoo Pipes?) for other applications to use. Seems like this would be an easy task, since the main feed for each show and the filtering algorithm are already present.

If you guys wouldn't feel like taking the time to do that, do you have any suggestions on how I might do it myself, using your feeds? Maybe with Pipes? I would like to filter to latest episode and 720p quality....

Thanks and great work!

For anybody interested, I did a rough version of the idea in Yahoo Pipes. There are two versions: one that requires you to enter the TVShows url feed directly, and one that attempts to guess the URL based on the user entering only the show name. Obviously, the one where you enter the feed directly is more consistent. You can find the URL to the feed in the app (click the show once you've added it, click edit, double click URL, copy).

The pipe allows you to filter season, episode, quality, and # of latest episodes. Works beautifully with TVShows excellent RSS feeds.

    Have a go:
Enter URL from TVShows app: http://pipes.yahoo.com/sevenlayercookie/tvshowsurl
    Enter Show Name: http://pipes.yahoo.com/sevenlayercookie/showname

I will be using it to download the latest Breaking Bad episode in 720p with uTorrent on my Windows-based server.

    Hi Harrison,

I don't understand... I can see the need to filter SD or HD content if you want to use the feed in an app that doesn't support feed filters, but why filter the season or the episode? Our feeds will always contain the latest items, so if for Breaking Bad you enter any season but the 5fth you will end up with no results. And filtering a single episode will mean that the feed will only be valid for one download...

Anyway, thanks for sharing. You may want to take a look at our own Yahoo! Pipe for ideas (sorry, I'm not a Yahoo! Pipe expert so I can't help you with that).
