Limiting File Size

I think it would be great if there is a way to limit the file size of the shows downloaded. Today I found that TVShows was downloading one episode of a show - and the file was almost 2GB. I've never seen a single TV show that large, even in HD, so I immediately cancelled it, worried that it was something more than that.

    Hi Molly,

Sorry for the late reply. If you don't have the "additional sources" option in TVShows, the contents downloaded by TVShows are totally reliable.

TVShows doesn't "know" the file size, but usually the quality (SD or HD) and the show type (drama or comedy) determines the file size of an episode (e.g. SD dramas are usually 300-400MB). I imagine you don't remember the 2GB file (long time ago, my fault), but I suppose it was an HD drama (maybe a double episode, or a 1080p one...).
