How do you get TVShows to play
TVShows downloaded a .torrent file to my computer. I opened it
with Transmission. It downloaded a video. I tries to play it and
Quicktime says it does not recognize the format.
I then downloaded Flip4Mac so Quicktime can play an .avi file and
it still won't play.
Help will be appreciated.

Hi Radulf,
Flip4Mac is a player for Windows Media Player videos (usually .wmv). TVShows doesn't download this kind of videos, it downloads .avi for SD quality and .mkv for HD (sometimes it can download .rar files but this is a compressed format, inside there is a .mkv file).
In order to play .avi files with Quicktime, you need to install Perian. But we recommend you to try VLC, which is an independent video player that will play almost any imaginable video file.
Finally, you don't need to manually open every .torrent file TVShows downloads with Transmission. If you check the "automatically open each torrent file after downloading" option in TVShows Preferences tab, TVShows will launch Transmission for you ;)
Please let us know if you need any further help.
