Escaped characters in Custom RSS

My private tracker allows customization via URL augmentation. For instance, &exclude=(Complete|720p). Tvshows2 does not seem to like the pipe or parentheses in the URL. I've tried escaping without success. I know the RSSURL is ok as I can view in RSS readers with the exclusion. Is there any way to make this work in tvshows2?
