Downloading TV Shows from a Private Tracker?

TV Shows is amazing. However the sources it uses are being watched by one of the shows I download.
I'm a member of many private torrent trackers that also have the content I'm looking for. What is the proper method to tell TV Shows to look there instead of its default. Do I simply just change the Feed URL from tvshows app to the RSS on my new tracker?

    Hi mike,

TVShows supports custom subscriptions. Instead of clicking "Add show" when subscribing, you can click "Add custom show" and then enter the feed URL you want to use, the show name and TheTVDB ID and then TVShows should display the list of available episodes and let you subscribe. Just keep in mind a couple of things:

    • Not all feeds are compatible with TVShows. If your private tracker requires authentification to access the feed then it will not work. It will also not work if the feed items don't link to the torrent files (eg. they redirect you to an html page where you can download them). Otherwise it should work, if it doesn't let us know and we'll take a look (you should provide an example feed to test).
    • TVShows treats differently custom shows than preset list ones. With custom shows, TVShows will download every new item it appears. This means that if your tracker posts to the same feed SD and HD content, TVShows will download both versions. Also, if a proper/repack is posted after the first released version, TVShows will download it too.
