Is there any way to get my TV Shows to start/download on my NAS (dns323) instead of initiating a local copy of Transmission? I already have Transmission Daemon running on the NAS box

Thanks,
Sven

You can configure transmission daemon to watch a directory for torrents. mount your nas then go to library/preferences/com.victorpimentel.tvshows2.plist and change the downloadFolder string to your mounted dir.

this is how i did it before i switched over to a mac mini server. worked well.

As Morgan says, you can save the torrents in a folder belonging to your NAS. But you don't need to change that file by hand, you can select it from the TVShows panel if it's mounted.

The good news is that now we kind of support that configuration, so even if your NAS is not mounted that episode will not be lost, it will just start when you mount your NAS.
