AVi vs MP4 - Please give us the choice.
The so-called "new standard" of x264 MP4 was created by a conglomeration of 13 release groups: http://pastebin.com/vXKWaw8L but only 3 of them are doing the really popular shows (LOL, ASAP, SYS).
There are several release groups (at least 6) that have rejected the suggestion and are sticking with the existing standard of Xvid AVI, including 3 of them that also do the popular shows (FQM, 2HD, aAF).
It seems pretty clear that both scene and community opinion is divided. Nearly every episode thread on the EZTV forum is being clogged with complaints and arguments.
The need to adhere to standards is understandable, and the evolution of formats is inevitable, but this is very new development, not all the big groups have agreed, and many shows are currently in an active season.
It would be totally super awesome if you could provide a "SD default format" option in preferences (AVI or MP4), at least for a few months of crossover period, or at the every least until all currently active seasons are complete.

Hi there,
We depend completely on what EZTV and others upload, and we cannot know what filetype is inside of a torrent by solely looking at the released title.
We'd have to change a lot of TVShows to be able to give this option, and still it would not work well.
So, TVShows will go with the flow. Also, we think that the correct solution is what we want to implement for the next major version: an automatic conversion after the download is done.
Cheers!
