Unable to Download Shows
Yesterday I was having trouble getting the show lists to populate like everyone else, which has now been resolved, however I can't download any of the shows in my lists. For example: I'm 2 episodes behind on The Ricky Gervais Show because I was out of town for a few weeks so when I open the show it displays the full list of episodes and accurately tells me the date of the last successful download but when I click "check for new episodes now" I get nothing. If i click on the individual episodes to download I get this error:
Unable to download The Ricky Gervais Show S03E09
Cannot connect. Please try again later or check your internet
connection
I tried unsubscribing and then re-subscribing to some of the shows and that didn't work. I tried the link fix reccomended by De Paul Sunny over at this discussion http://support.tvshowsapp.com/discussions/problems/788-episode-list... and that didn't work either. Been trying all day with no positive results and my internet connection is hiccup free. Anyone else having similar issues or a possible resolution?

Same here. Every episode of every show reports "Unable to download"

Holy crap I thought it was just me! I'm running TVShows on a "hackintosh" built on Intel PC hardware, and I recently updated to Lion 10.7.4 and that's when everything broke. But it sounds like it's not exclusive to me.
Anyone have any solution for this? I've become so hooked on and reliant upon TVS that not having it is a REAL style-crimper!

I managed to solve this on my own. I'm wondering if something has changed in 10.7.4, any chance this issue started when the rest of you upgraded recently?
I found that the permissions on all the folders inside my user, were not set to allow me read & write access. Repairing permissions with Disk Utility will not work, because it does system files only, not user files.
So, the only solution I could find was to do a Get Info on each folder inside my user folder, click the little lock and enter my system password, then set permissions for "Everyone" to "Read/Write". Now downloads are working just fine again, including everything from TVShows (issue of all TPB torrents being hijacked notwithstanding).
I hope this helps someone else!

Hi,
Due to the TPB hijacking issue, we had to remove .torrent files from the feeds, so currently TVShows only works with magnet links. Please note that they are not compatible with the "save each show in its own folder" feature, so if you were using that you will need to disable it and set a specific destination folder in Transmission to keep the process completely automatic.
We hope this is temporary, but it's beyond our power.
