Still getting fakes
Hey there,
For about 3 weeks now just about every show I am subscribed to is
picking up all these fakes (Speed-Cd release group .rar folders) I
unsubscribed and resubscribed as per your instructions to others on
this forum but still getting fakes.
I unsubscribed and re subscribed again (very time consuming) and nothing downloaded until I forced it to (clicking on the down arrow in the episode list) yet it still downloads the fake.
I cannot see any setting in TV shows to never download folders or .rar files (Like in TED)
Any idea's
cheers

Hi Matt,
Those are not fakes. They may be funny named, but they contain the actual video file, with no secret password. Just uncompress them with The Unarchiver (free, in the Mac AppStore) or any other uncompressor.
In the upcoming beta the setting will be respected whenever possible. But please notice that most HD episodes are only released in rar format.
Cheers!

Hi Victor, I did unarchive one of them and it was a 19second video of the universal studios splash video (played before all movies) with an overlay stating i did not have the correct codec for windows media player and to visit a specific website (clearly a fake directing to a suspicious website)
Anyway, I will be looking forward to a preference to avoid any folder/.rar files as only straight top level video files will work with my automated process of renaming and moving to plex to scan.
cheers
