Shows not downloading as usual
Hello, it use to be that TV shows would download shows within a couple hours. Now it appears they often don't download, and when they do it's in a large batch about a week or so later, with many episodes missing. I can't seem to find anything on your website that addresses this issue, and I've read and worked through your post on what to do when shows aren't downloading. Additionally, I can't seem to find anything on your website that is more recent than a couple years. Is this app still being developed? Perhaps it's just not compatible with the latest version of Mac OS anymore. I'd appreciate some help and guidance on this issue, as I love the app.
Thank you,
Jon

Echoing Shanna here- nothing gets downloaded, and no successful pass offs to my torrent app, either. It's been at least five, maybe six months, or it seems that long. I'm just about to re-install, although canceling and re-adding shows did not work. Plus, the updates appear to be no longer happening. My guess is that this app is no longer being developed.

Ottomatic is a decent app, but doesn't organise the shows into sub folder at present - the dev has sent it will in the future - I find using Catch along with ShowRSS works great and follows the sub folder structure much like TVShows2, most of the TV shows are listed and more added all the time.

I gave up on Tvshows, obviously abandonware, and I missed a lot of episodes lately. Moved to Sonarr, which is an awesome software that does the same thing. Highly recommended.

Thanks for posting the other suggestions guys. It's frustrating that it was abandoned!

It seems that the http://tvshowsapp.com/feeds/* feeds are not getting updated anymore. Last update was 21-Aug-2015.
But if you use custom feeds with feed URLs from showrss.info, then TVShows works as good as always. Or you just add the corresponding showrss feeds to your existing shows.
Also no showrss account is required for this, the public feeds are just fine.

You can do it that way. But, i highly recommend regeistering and using Catch instead of using the very unstable and abandoned by developers TVShows It´s a bit easier and not so much hassle. But everyone in their own way :)

Yeah, same here. Thought it was an off-season issue but the series have resumed and are even a few episodes in, TV Shows does zilch. Pity - used to love it.
