i always had problems updating the tv show list... i would click "add show' on the subscription tab and it would spin and spin on 'updating show information', never actually downloading or updating anything.

i decided it may be a corrupted installation and decided to uninstall and reinstall... to no avail. although now it appears my original subsciption file has been corrupted (it says 'bad file' or something to that affect on opening and then launches with no active subs).

and when i try to add shows to the subscription list? ... yup, you guessed it... 'updating show information' will spin ad nauseous.

any suggestions
