I've been syncing with Miso for a few years. Now, I have clean-installed Yosemite and when I try to sign in Miso all I get is an ever-going progress circle right next to Sign In button with no timeout or cancelling capability. The logs do not contain anything useful concerning the sign in proccess.

I think that Miso went out of business or got bought out. When you go to their website www.gomiso.com it is now something called Viggle. I too used miso for all my syncing. I am bummed that this service is no longer there.

Maybe it's time for TVShows app to switch to a different provider such as trakt.tv?

I agree the app does need a different provider. The developers of tvshows are very busy. They develop tvshows in their spare time. So hopefully they will update it soon.
