Can't open www.tvshowapp.com and download the App
I can't seem to open the site. The support site is browsable but not the official. I couldn't find a link to download the app anywhere. Is there a problem or could it be my ISP?

Could this be the sign that we knew was coming -the end of TVShows?

Any news? I don't think it is the end of tvshows. They are working on a 3.0 version.

The developers have had the notice of 3.0 in work since around 2012 right? Two years and nothing? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that TVShows is still going to revive, but I'm skeptical.

The website has gone/ now showing domain parking.
You can still use the app. Just change the show rss feed and use http://showrss.info/

And the app still works for custom subscriptions...just not using their yahoo pipes (which seem to be gone as well).
I was able to get it running through some trial and error. If anyone is interested, the instructions are here:

Yeah
I just checked the logs
2014-06-19 12:00:41.746 INFO: [631 ~ Downloader] Checking for new
episodes.
2014-06-19 12:33:13.956 INFO: [631 ~ Downloader] Using a cached show
list (2014-06-16 17:38:23 +0000).
So I suppose it's been down since 2014-06-16
I'll try that method Don

Where do you suggest, or where is your favorite place you get your custom feeds from?
13 Posted by 111 on 19 Jun, 2014 12:36 PM
For most of my shows, I now use Catch 1.7 in conjunction with showRSS (set up your shows online on showRSS.info and download Catch 1.7 (from showRSS) to send them to your RSS downloader (I use Transmission). You can tweak them on showRSS for inclusion of repacks (or not) and SD or HD quality. Catch 1.7 will automatically grab them based on how you have them set up on showRSS. Simply set up your account, select your shows, get a personally generated feed of shows, copy that feed into Catch 1.7 and you are up and running.
ShowRSS has about 90% of what I watch, so I only use TVShows for the other 10%. For those feeds I use TPB or KickAss Torrents (instructions for how to use those feeds are on the link above)

You guys are looking at the wrong domain, it's www.tvshowsapp.com (notice the "s" after tvshow) and you can download the client from there still.

I myself am very aware. The site/app is still dead. I just ignored the misspelling.
16 Posted by 111 on 19 Jun, 2014 02:29 PM
Yep - have it as a bookmark with correct spelling and have had for ~6 months. It's down.

Same issue here. I hope this doesn't mean the end of the app.

Hopefully!

seems to be back up now - the website that is .... not sure what it means for the app show lists yet cause i am not at home

Feeds link goes to wrong page though. So I would assume that until the devs fix that, the app still won't work.
21 Posted by 111 on 19 Jun, 2014 11:22 PM
Yep. Feeds still empty.

i think we might all be holding our breath waiting for the developers - their lack of communication is really quite poor of late
23 Posted by 111 on 19 Jun, 2014 11:36 PM
I've all but abandoned TVApps in favor of an alternative. Still use it for a few custom feeds since those work without assistance of the devs.
24 Posted by pete on 20 Jun, 2014 02:30 AM
Don, what alternative are you using?
25 Posted by 111 on 20 Jun, 2014 10:17 AM
Pete - I use showRSS in conjunction with Catch 1.7
I still use TVShows for anything not listed in showRSS.
See posts #11 and 14 above.
