I have a subscription to the show "Girls", but this morning I woke up to two old episodes of "2 Broke Girls" having been downloaded, a show I don't subscribe to at all.

    Hi all,

From what I see in Douwe's log, the torrents were downloaded from torcache, which we don't use for "regular" downloads (we use TPB and EZTV). This happens because you have checked the "additional sources" option in TVShows preferences; with this option on, TVShows performs a search for the show title in Torrentz.eu (a torrent search engine), this doesn't authenticate the uploader and also doesn't exclude similar searches, so it's possible that a fake or, like in this case, a show with a similar name, is downloaded instead of the actual episode.

I suggest you turn off that option. The only downside is that every now and then it may get longer to get an episode.

    Hi Cristina,

A thanks, that must be it. One thing though: the option reads "Use additional sources for HD", does this mean that without this option I will no longer receive 720p versions for some of my shows?

    Hi Douwe,

No, our feed has SD and HD versions... but sometimes the sources we use don't upload the episode in HD (it rarely happens with popular shows, but for some less popular it can happen more frequently), in that case TVShows will download the SD version after a while, so you don't miss it.
