Today I got TVshows 2 and i seem to have a lot of trouble. When i search for a show it doesn't come up with anything. When i got that working it wouldn't download and kept saying that there was no internet connection when there was. I restarted my laptop but the didn't do anything.

    Hi Anna-Maria,

Sorry for the late reply. The "no internet connection" message usually appears when one of the following happens:

    • You're using a proxy or firewall: in this case, you should set it up so it allows internet access to TVShowsHelper.app and System Preferences.app.
    • Your ISP is blocking The Pirate Bay: in this case, you need to check the "prioritize magnets" option in TVShows Preferences, this way access to TPB is not needed.

Please let me know if you need any further help.

I am sorry to ask what may be a stupid question but I am also having the same problem. TVShows was working perfectly and one day new episodes wouldn't download. If I tried to do it manually, I also received an internet connection problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times but I get the "Updaing show information" continuously.

I do not think I am using a proxy or firewall, but if I am innadvertently doing so, how do I set it up so it allows internet access to TVShowsHelper.app and System Preferences.app?

    Thanks
