Can you please point me to the post where the problem was explained in detail?

This might be good news, I left my desk for a couple hours and when I returned, 9 episodes of my subscriptions from last week had downloaded including a couple shows I missed downloading manually. Seems like a good sign. Also note, there is a new build 2.1 (631) available from the download page.

You should probably read up a bit on the difference between paying for something and making a donation as an act of appreciation for their hard work. Yay, you made a donation, they still don't owe you jack. That's why it's called a donation. You do it by choice, just like the divulge specific details and information, by choice. Don't like it, find an alternative. I would suggest a paid service since you seem entitled to partial ownership and stake holding.
And to answer your question, no I have not donated, but I'm pretty sure having a four year old fighting cancer allows me a bit of latitude in when I contribute. #douche

Oh, goodness. Such a needlessly heated discussions. Can we dial it back down to civil, please? I'm sure we're all good natured, smart, life loving, kind, respectful people at heart.
Now, it looks like feeds are still being updated, as I write this. The update is proceding alphabetically, currently up to the "S's", having completed over 400 shows, so far.
If you're comfortable in Terminal, to see every feed sorted by update time, you can paste on a single line:
curl -s http://tvshowsapp.com/feeds/|sed -E 's/<[^>]+>//g;s/( {2,})/\1^/'|sort -t^ -k2.8,2.12 -k2.4,2.6M -k2.1,2.2 -k2.14,2.18
To see the current number of updated feeds, type:
curl -s http://tvshowsapp.com/feeds/|grep -v .full.xml|egrep "(19|20)-Nov-2013"|wc -l
It seems like thinks will be back to normal shortly.

Hi all,
First of all, sorry for the absence, there wasn't any new information I could share and I personally needed a time off after some "hate comments" (I don't mean here, not entirely)... sometimes we lose sight of the bigger picture and TVShows has AWESOME users who understand that this is a free app (we accept donations, which only means that you can contribute if you want, without donations TVShows would simply cost us money) maintained by two individuals on their free time (Víctor is the developer and I help him with support) who love TV shows (and TVShows :P). So a big THANK YOU for all supportive users and those who, like Rod says, helped keeping it together here.
That said, as you have already noticed things are back to normal, there's more information about the recent issues on our blog.

I'm leading the Rally for Joshua's Journey, and I think you will
be inspired by this campaign. Please take a moment to check it
out. Consider either a one time donation, or maybe $10 per month.
You can even sign up to be a fundraiser for him!! Please at least
consider sharing the link with your friends, family, and social
networks.

Let's rally for Joshua's Journey
February 28, 2013 was the day that changed our lives forever.
After a few weeks of growing symptoms, we took our 3 year old
son, Joshua, to the pediatrician. They sent us for lab work, and
within 24 hours we were being given the news no parent should
ever hear. Cancer. Very High Risk Type-B Acute Lymphoblastic
Leukemia. A 5 year cure rate of 75-80%, but a very difficult
road. A very dangerous road. The very treatment that could save
his life, could also take it, or at very least leave him with
long term health issues. Joshua began treatment immediately, and
after 2 1/2 months was finally deemed in remission. The treatment
for Leukemia is long, 3 1/2 years for boys. The first year being
the most difficult.
Joshua's mom works for an adult oncology office that provides
health coverage, but in July she had to take a 4 month leave to
care for Joshua as he went through the most difficult part of
treatment, including period of up to a week of hospitalization.
Two weeks after she went on leave, Joshua's dad unexpectedly lost
his job of nearly 4 years. So within two weeks, our family went
from 2 incomes to zero. We had fundraised to cover prescriptions
and copays, but were not prepared for what was coming.
We now need your support for Joshua's ongoing expenses, as we
embark to launch the Be Brave Foundation to raise money for other
families. We believe, that as bad as we have it, we can still
impact others. So please help us, help others.
