App backgound process not working

Hi,

I can't get the background process in this app to start looking for shows, the option to view a menubar icon does not work, and the uninstall function does not work. The commands you suggested on Twitter did not seem to work either - on the bottom right it still says "Last checked: Never". I attach the log file - I have downloaded a couple of things manually from the app,:

    Hi Håvard,

    That is all very strange, because nothing appears in the logs. It's like your OS refused to launch anything from ~/Library/LaunchAgents/... Maybe some other app is somehow interfering with the launch of programs.

    The only thing that could help us would be opening Console.app (it's in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder), and then searching for "TVShows" or "LaunchAgents". Please then copy the output here, if any.

    Sorry for the inconveniences, yours is a very strange case!

    Yes, I am also quite baffled by all this, I've never encountered anything
    like this with any other app…

    Sorry, but I have checked this several times and I just don't know what can be happening :(

    You can completely uninstall the app by executing these five commands in Terminal.app:

    rm  ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.victorpimentel.TVShowsHelper.plist
rm -r ~/Library/PreferencePanes/TVShows.prefPane
rm -r  ~/Library/Application\ Support/TVShows\ 2
rm -r ~/Library/Logs/TVShows
rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.victorpimentel.TVShows2.plist

    If you installed the app "for every user", you'll also need to write your password after typing this:

    sudo rm -r ~/Library/PreferencePanes/TVShows.prefPane

    Thanks! I'll try completely removing it and reinstalling once more before
    giving up. I hope that the next version, as a standalone app, might work
    better! :)
