Tv shows stopped downloading new episodes
Help!
i love this program and but for some reason tv show stopped downloading my shows....
i tried to "manually" check for new episodes but it doesnt work
i have an imac, running mavericks and vuze is my torrent program.
its not mavericks since i had the same problem 2 weeks ago when i was running mountain lion.
everything was fine and dandy untill the tv show app just stopped working.......
please help i desperate tv show geek

Click on feeds then select your settings then click on generate. Copy the RSS and go to tvshows and set up a custom subscription. Copy that into the custom subscription. More detailed instructions at http://support.tvshowsapp.com/discussions/problems/3444-tv-shows-not-downloading-anything-pipe-doesnt-work

mt tv shows has not been downloading anything for the past 7 days either
elementary should have downloaded but the episode does not even appear
any ideas?

this is not working. what can i do? i checked manually and nothing. had to get the episodes directly from torrentz.eu

TVShows is working again (for custom subscriptions through KAT). I think it had something to do with the way KAT was processing their torrents through TorCache.

What do you mean by "custom subscriptions through KAT". I imagine you mean kat.cr, but how do I set that up? My TVShows app has stopped auto downloading, and doesn't even show new eps for me to manual DL. Thanks.

Yes, using kat.cr to feed the custom subscription. It was working a few days ago, but has gone back to having problems. I think it how kat.cr is processing their rss feeds now and not TVShows app. But how to do it...
Copy the RSS feed from your KAT search. Go to TVShows and click "Add custom RSS" from the bottom of the home screen. Copy the RSS feed URL into the "Feed URL" Give the show a name and save. Typically you would get all the listings from the KAT feed, but now instead of downloading when you try to select one, you get an error.
Hopefully KAT will go back to doing things the way they were which (I believe) would solve the problem.

I think it's a great app and does exactly what it is supposed to do.
Problem is that it relies on other areas (sites) for it's feed...making it fragile when those are changed. And also that the devs seem to have abandoned it, so unless there is someone out there to pick up the pieces to keep it updated, has the potential for a quick death.

I have had exactly the same problem as Raoel and BMG for weeks now and I am not tech savvy enough to even understand what you guys are talking about up there with RSS feeds! Is there an easy way to get it to work again? I haven't been able to find any new shows for a long time either? It was such an awesome app when it was working, is there anything similar out there?

The developer have quit with no warrning. I'm afraid there is no quick fix to get it workimg again. Try Catch or Otomatic/Automatick.

I was using these workaround for a while too but eventually it became ridiculous it would break every few days. Bought Automatic and found my peace again. Recommended!

How does otomatic/automatic work. I subscribed to shows but can't seem to figure out how to get it to download. I'm just using a trial now.

If you are using Automatic. You need to press "Start".
Use Catch if either of the ones you mentioned are not working for you.

Try adding the torrents from your "Download" folder to your torrent client.
