"Could not load TVShows preference pane"

Hi,

this is the error i get after i downloaded the latest version, unzipped it, opened it, and selected "install for this user only".

can anybody help, please?

    Hi Daniel,

    Very strange, I don't know anyone with this error. Try uninstalling it from the preference pane (About tab->Uninstall button). But before that, backup your ~/Library/Application Support/TVShows 2/ folder, otherwise you will lose your subscriptions :/

    Please get back to me if you get to fix it :)

    Hi,

    I can't load the preference pane. That's the problem.

    I've already uninstalled it with appzapper and then tried reinstalling it. Same issue.

    That's all very strange. Can you open Console.app (it's in the Applications/Utilities folder) and then search for System Preferences? There some errors will appear, please copy them and paste them here.

    Well, that is the background downloader, at least that's working :/

    Try to open the preference pane, and then open Console.app and, without selecting any log (so that you keep being in the default one), can you search for System Preferences in the top right search field?

    A friend of mine solved this, installing the app with the "Just for this user" option.
    Maybe you can try this.
