Missing GUI elements on headless Macs
Hi,
I'm running TVShows on a Mac without a monitor and use Apple Remote Desktop to control it. Normally, it just sits there doing its job, but there are a few cases where I have to mess with it.
For some reason, much of TVShows graphics don't show up when no monitor is connected. For example, the artwork, the buttons to add new shows and the button to delete shows. It makes it hard to use, even though I've now learnt where the buttons are.

Hi Gabriel,
Sorry for the late reply. Can you send us some screenshots? It's strange, I used to have TVShows on an old Mac and connected via remote desktop and the graphics were fine.

Hi, sure thing.
As you can see, the artwork and the custom buttons are missing.
I realize the machine is old and its OS is out of support. 10.8 doesn't support this Mac Pro.

Hi Gabriel,
Have you tried to connect with another app? I have tried LogMeIn and the buttons are fine.

Hi,
yes, tried LogMeIn too and it looks the same for me.
I think it might be an OS issue. Plex had the same issue with its GUI (before it became a web UI). iMovie won't start without a screen attached. There are several seemingly related issues with non-standard UI elements.

Hi Gabriel,
If LogMein doesn't work either then it seems a issue with your Mac (probably OS as you said)... since it's old and out of OS support I don't think we can do anything about it, sorry for the inconvenience.
