Didn't download torrents until the TVShows preference pane was opened
I set up several TV shows yesterday that were shown last last, this morning I realized that the torrents hadn't been downloaded, I opened the TVShows preference pane and suddenly I received all the growl messages that the torrents had just been downloaded and transmission had started with the downloads.
I'm running Lion, 10.7.2, TVShows 2.0b12 (r569)

Can you please tell us if you see the menubar icon? If you restart it is there or not?

I have 'Show TVShows status in the menu bar disabled', does this need to be enabled for it to work in the background? I normally disable all programs' status bar icons, to save the menu bar real estate...

Actually, no, it doesn't need to be shown to download episodes in the background. It is just a quick way of seeing if the app is working :P Otherwise you'll have to look in System Monitor for the TVShowsHelper.app.

Makes sense. So any idea as to why I had to open the preference pane for it to start the downloads?

I don't know, please try restarting to see if that happens again.

Will do. I have restarted and I have this process running:
/Users/liam/Library/PreferencePanes/TVShows.prefPane/Contents/Resources/TVShowsHelper.app/Contents/MacOS/TVShowsHelper
When I opened the preference pane no new processes were created so I'm guessing this is the correct one.

Torrent was downloaded correctly this morning without the status icon in the menubar and the TVShows preference pane open. Seems to have fixed itself.
