Some shows get downloaded twice the second time usually is 720p although i did't enable the HD option.

    Hi mjkout,

    Sorry for the late reply. We need more detail to address this issue: does this happen with custom shows or preset list shows? Is it with every episode or just some of them? Can you provide a specific example (show and episode) and send us the log? (About tab -> View logs, please paste the content into a text file and attach it to the message)

    I have the same problem with various shows (all regular, I don't have custom ones) Family guy, gold rush, fringe in some cases there are 1080p version of that. I tried to add a rule to every tv show like:
    None ......episodename contains 720p and/or 1080 but it seems it doesn't really look to the real name
    this is my log for fringe and family guy

    Hi Gianluca,

    You do have custom shows... when you added a filter rule you converted the subscription to a custom one ;) (you should see a gear icon over the show image) TVShows treats custom subscriptions differently, while for preset list shows TVShows should only download one version per episode, for custom shows it will download everything that appears in the feed.

    If you used standard subscriptions before you added the rules, then you're using our feeds, and our feeds don't contain 1080p episodes (currently TVShows cannot accept a third quality option, we will probably address this in the future if 1080p becomes more used), so you don't need the filters.

    If you unsubscribe from those shows that have the gear icon and subscribe again via the preset list, you can select if you want the episodes in SD or HD and then TVShows should only download one version (hopefully the one you want; but sometimes episodes are not released in all qualities by our trusted sources so TVShows will download any available version so you don't miss the episode).

    thanx for the quick reply,
    In origin I had the original subscriptions then I added rules to try to prevent extra downloads.
    So I had subscriptions without filters before and randomly I received 720p files after or at the same time of regular shows. the 1080p arrived just with gold rush alaska.
    I'm taking out the subscriptions and rejoin the originals shows and when it'll download extra content I'll send u the log

    Hi Cristina,

    i edited the names of those subscriptions to match my local drive name
     adding _ instead of spaces because my media server cannot read spaces
    will this cause the 720 problem ?

    Hi mjkout,

    Yes, this is what's causing the problem. As I explained to Gianluca, if you make any change in a subscription it becomes a custom subscription, and the usual rules (no duplicate downloads) don't apply.

    is there a way i can have both the custom name and the no duplicate ? like
    a hard coded original name for example ?
