Stopped downloading .. Cannot connect. Please try again later or check your internet connection.
Hi,
I started having issues with tvshows couple of days ago, it stopped downloading my subscribed shows and when i add a new show i get this message "Cannot connect. Please try again later or check your internet connection." although I have internet connection.
I checked your discussion bored and they recommend fixing Transmission sitting for magnets. the problem is I have already fixed this issue a while ago and I usually get magnets for my new episodes.
your support is highly appreciated

Hi all,
Please, of all you having the problem while NOT using magnets, check the thread Shakaar linked. And for fixing Transmission settings you can take a look at our knowledge base.
Those who have already activated the "prioritize magnets" in TVShows preferences and are still having connection issues, please send us the log so we can take a look.
Faisal, are you sure you have the "prioritize magnets" option checked in TVShows? I'm asking because you talk about Transmission settings, but this is a TVShows setting.

Hi Krista,
Sorry, your message was incorrectly flagged as spam :(
Are you still experiencing this issue? Are you using magnets? Can you send us the log (About tab -> View logs, please paste the content into a text file and attach it to the message)?

I am having this issue but if I goto magnets it only downloads KYR files which dont work with my media server- Im on a new iMac and just bummed I canceled cable and this is how I watch tv- please help me fix, it seriously just came out of nowhere, I am on an arris modem from time warner, turbo.
Thanks

Hi j,
I don't know what a "KYR" file is... magnets are not files, they are links and you need a torrent manager to open them and download the actual videos.
The Pirate Bay is currently experiencing overload issues (please read this post).

After a tried the magnet fix, a show down loads with the magnet, it downloads a file called KYR instead of say mp4, avi, mkv, etc. Then I can't get it to play and there are multiple files.
Is another suggestion to just wait it out until TPB resolves their end? Thank you I am only a year into using tv2 and other things, I have self educated and enjoy the fix challenge- but ultimately would like to watch a few shows.
Thanks again

Hi j,
Can you tell me which show and episode was downloaded as said KYR file? And if it's SD or HD quality? If you could send us the log (About tab -> View logs, please paste the content into a text file and attach it to the message) it would be helpful.
TPB issues are not affecting magnets, so if you keep using them you should be fine (except for that "KYR" thing that we will look into)... I was just commenting it because that's probably the reason you got the "connection errors" when you weren't using magnets.

All TVshows2 shows I am subscribed to say "can not connect" it's been working fine for months up until now and nothing was changed on my end. I tried the fix with the Magnet option, but if I attempt a manual download the only file it comes in is KYR not mp4 or any other normal format, so then I can not view. I am set up to view new shows when they come available, for example the next episode of the Ultimate Fighter series, or Parenthood, etc. Do I wait to see if the issue is resolved with TPB or am I out of luck and will I have to stop using tvshow2? Thanks

Hi J,
Please send us the log so we can see what's happening.

where do I find the log to show you- I have tried just about everything- Just really frustrated, did TPB stop working or get blocked? KA/Torrents works fine. I tried to uninstall reinstall, I tried using magnets (by the way what is the difference) the magnets work with some shows manually- but the automatic getting new shows does not any more, I am with Time Warner and Arris Modem is there a setting in there I can look for- I changed nothing it just all stopped after 6 months of working great. Thank you

Hi J,
I told you before: About tab -> View logs (please paste the content into a text file and attach it to the message).
I also explained the difference between torrent files and magnets: torrent files are files hosted in TPB (or other torrent sites, but ours are mostly from TPB) so TVShows needs to download them from TPB, and magnets are links that contain the information that your torrent manager needs to download the episode, so TVShows doesn't need access to TPB to use them.

Hi... I am having the same problem. However, I have Bitten added as a custom RSS and it works. Basically all the shows added from within the TVShows app list cannot connect.
Here's what the log reads:

Can anyone please assist and advise if there is a solution?
Thanks.

I've seen this issue to (with arrow and a couple other episodes, but I can't remember which)

I'm having an identical problem as Lools'. Interesting that all of my shows that are failing to download have the following on their URI: http://torrents.thepiratebay.se///re.zoink.it/
Everything else is being download from ThePirateBay just fine (i.e. torrent files).
Maybe is there a problem with TVShows parsing URI's with that triple "///" ? Probably worthy to take a look.

hi i can get it to work but i have to tick prioritise magnet links but what happens then is i keep getting a pop up window, then i have to manually tell it where to download otherwise the torrent wont start, also, if i open up tvshows2 then some episodes will start to download but again i have to tell it where to download, can anyone give me some pionters as to why this is happening, a few people seemed to be having the issue, but no reply from the devs as to why
thanks

@paul that's exactly what happens to me. but even worse, when I checked the option to prioritize magnet links, it started downloading a huge number of episodes at once, and all that opening up popup windows asking me where to download the files to.
