Magnet Links and Transmission - Options?

Now that TPB has gone to Solely Magnet links (for 90% of most new releases, there will not be a torrent file) My TvApps Client has stopped downloading new episodes. The Fix for this is to Enable Magnet Prioritization. Now this presents a new challenge as Transmission, while it does handle magnet links will pop up a confirmation every time a magnet link is added, and asks where to save it to. There is no configuration inside transmission to change this.. Unless someone knows if there is a config file that can be tweaked.

I loved the ease of use of transmission with TvShows, as it would place everything in its correct folder.. but now that TPB is magnets, this presents a problem when downloading at say.. 2am when Someone is not near the Computer.

Any Other alternatives in the works?

The only solution I've found to this issue, is to go to the groups tab in transmission preferences, and create a condition for each tv show, so that it's placed in it's correct folder. It takes a while, but you only have to do it once.

    Hi all,

djcalvin, you can avoid the confirmation window by selecting a destination folder in Transmission. You probably have "same as torrent", and as with magnets there is no torrent file, Transmission doesn't know where to save the file.

If you were using the "save each show in its own folder" feature, switching to magnets means it will no longer work, because it was based in torrents and "same as torrent" destination in Transmission. Jay explained a nice workaround if you have few shows (I have over 40 subscriptions so I don't even consider it :S).

We are always trying to improve the sources for better reliability, so now we'll focus on finding other ways to provide torrent files por users who still want to use the "save each show in its own folder" (for the rest of us, magnets are essentially the same as torrent files).
