Some shows not downloading

Hi Cristina.

Don't want to add fuel to the fire but I have noticed the same thing with Hawaii 5-0. Also with a few other shows that I am subscribed to:
Guys with kids
Partners
The New Normal

TVShows did not download the latest episodes but I was able to go on to EZTV and manually download all the latest episodes.

Am I missing something here? Or has something happened since you fixed the "double downloads" problem?

TVShows has been working fantastic up to now and continues to my favorite app. Thanks for the good work.

   Hi richard,

   I splitted the discussion because your issue (appart from Hawaii 5-0) doesn't seem to be related to the sources, since I just checked the feeds for the other shows you mention and they have all the latest episodes.

   Can you send us the log? (About tab -> View logs, please paste the content into a text file and attach it to the message) Also, have you selected SD or HD for those shows?

   I have attached the log you ask for. I do not have HD selected for any of my subscriptions. Although I have a new TV and am thinking of doing so. Does this mean that it will only download HD versions? Or will I start getting double downloads again?
   
   PD. I see that the latest episode of The Big Bang is now downloading.

   Sorry forgot to mention in my other email that the shows and latest episodes I mentioned in the forum have never started to download.

   Hi richard,

   The log begins on October 3rd and Partners 1x02 was released in SD on October 2nd, if you installed TVShows after that and when subscribing you chose to start from next aired episode, it's normal that it didn't get downloaded, next week it will. And I see both Guys with Kids and The New Normal have been downloaded, is it possible that you unchecked the "automatically open torrent files" option? If so, the torrent files should be in your destination folder, you can open them manually. If you check that option, TVShows will launch your default torrent app so they will be downloaded automatically.

   I asked if you had them in SD or HD because if the preferred option is not available, TVShows waits for 18 hours before downloading the other one, some delays are caused by these (and thus they are not really delays). If you change to HD, TVShows should download HD versions, unless they are not available for 18 hours.

   I am not sure if I should answer you on my mail program or on the website.
   
   Does the log overwrite itself? Seems strange it starts on 3 October.
   
   I installed TVS well over a year ago and understand pretty well how it works.
   
   Guys with Kids/3 and New Normal/5 I downloaded manually from EZTV as they didn't automatically on TVS.
   
   I have "automatically open torrent files" checked.
   
   I will try the HD option and see what happens.
   
   Should I post my replies to the online discussion so others can see what's going on?

   You can reply via mail or on the support site, any way it will get posted to the discussion in the support site. This is a public discussion so others can see our replies.

   The log doesn't overwrite itself, but when it reaches 2MB it gets renamed and a new log is started. You can find the old log in this folder: ~/Library/Logs/TVShows/

   The log shows Guys with Kids being downloaded automatically, maybe you already went to EZTV and started downloading it (usually torrent clients can't handle two torrents containing the same file simultaneously). The New Normal, on the other hand, was downloaded manually via the app, that means that you clicked on the download arrow next to the episode in TVShows... is it right?
